FCCB'S HEALING TEAM IS READY TO SERVE
We can do so much for each other when our intention is to be loving. Never underestimate the power of love and prayer! Prayer that invites God's love to flow to wherever healing is needed, hope-filled trust, and gentle touch comprise the major elements of the work of our church's Healing Team. Two healing partners give the process while another team member reads the steps. Family members or other supportive people are welcome to be present and enter the prayer. Healing brings peace. It is not the same as curing which is limited to the physical body. Healing can support curing because it brings balance and harmony to the spirit, mind, and emotions. For a year and a half we have met to learn, to practice, and to receive this ministry from each other. We use the Pilgrimage Process, which is basically laying-on-of-hands and prayer in a specific sequence, that was developed by the Rev. Tanya Beck and Marilyn Gatlin, M.A. and brought to FCCB by Nancy McKay. | |

Appointments to receive this process in the Healing Room in Durant House may be made with Amy Hitchens, 848-3696 ext. 28. We also go to people's homes, to hospitals, and convalescent hospitals. Healing Team members volunteer their time and compassion. Donations to FCCB are encouraged. The Healing Team meets and practices every third Tuesday, 6 to 8 pm in Durant House. Call FCCB and speak with David Parks-Ramage, Nancy McKay, or Amy Hitchens for more information about the process or about learning the process. |
