Restorative Yoga: Yoga for the Rest of Us

Thursdays at 9:30-10:30am

Restorative yoga is a gentle form of hatha yoga,that modifies the classic asanas (physical postures) so that they are less physically taxing on the body with a focus on relaxing and strengthening specific parts of the body. Pranayama (breathing practices) and yoga nidra (guided imagery for relaxation) are also included in the class to promote health and healing of the body, mind, and spirit. All ages are welcome and no previous experience necessary. Mats and blankets are available. Please wear loose fitting and comfortable clothing.
Kyle Miura is a registered yoga teacher with the National Yoga Alliance, certified to teach yoga by the White Lotus Foundation, Integrative Yoga Therapy, and by yoga master Erich Schiffman. He is an alumnus of the Pacific School of Religion and has taught "yoga as a spiritual practice" at the Pacific School of Religion and at the Graduate Theological Union Cooperative Summer Sessions.
